Donor Rank
The goal of the ’CAF Donor Rank is to acknowledge a supporter’s full investment in Syracuse University Athletics and balance both annual support through the annual membership level and loyalty and longevity through priority points. When assigning Donor Rank, your ’CAF Annual Membership Level will be taken into consideration first, and then your Priority Point total will be used to determine your rank within your ’CAF Annual Membership Level.

'Cuse Athletics Fund Annual Membership Level
’CAF Annual Membership Level represents a ’CAF member’s annual cash support toward Syracuse Athletics. Your 'CAF Annual Membership Level is determined by the sum of any annual tax-deductible donations made to the Athletics Opportunity Fund and your annual required seat-related 'CAF memberships*, which are non tax deductible and are included in any season ticket purchase(s). Gifts to the John A. Lally Athletics Complex Fund made as part of a Legends Society commitment are also calculated in 'CAF Annual Membership Level. 

Priority Point Ranking within each 'CAF Annual Membership Level
Accounts are then ranked by Priority Points within your 'CAF Annual Membership Level. Priority Points represent a ’CAF member’s lifetime support of Syracuse Athletics and Syracuse University.

Priority Points are calculated on the following factors:
1 point for every $100 (paid) in current membership year giving to any Athletics fund**
1 point for every $1,000 of lifetime giving to any Athletics fund**
1 point for every $5,000 of lifetime giving to the University

One Donor Rank will be assigned to each account. Your Donor Rank will be locked-in on the Donor Rank lock dates and will be used to allocate your benefits in the current membership year. Benefit requests include parking passes, new or additional season tickets, seat relocation, premium seating, away game tickets, neutral site tickets, postseason tickets and hospitality tickets.

*Seat-related 'CAF Memberships: 

• Seat-related 'CAF Memberships are non tax deductible and are included in all season ticket purchases for football and men's basketball. As such, all season ticket holders for these two sports are automatically 'CAF members and are assigned a Donor Rank.
• Seat-related 'CAF Memberships will be credited to the year associated with your season tickets, regardless of the date of the transaction. 
• All premium seating locations include a seat-related 'CAF Membership included in the season ticket purchase. As such, all premium seat holders are automatically 'CAF members and are assigned a Donor Rank. 
• Reserved seats for women's basketball (including premium courtside seats), include a seat-related 'CAF Membership included in the season ticket purchase. As such, reserved seat holders are automatically 'CAF members and are assigned a Donor Rank. 
• General admission season ticket holders for women's basketball, as well as season ticket holders for men's and women's lacrosse, do not have a seat-related 'CAF Membership included in their season ticket purchase. Unless those account holders have also made a donation during the current membership year, they will not be assigned a Donor Rank. 

**Any Athletics Fund: 
Athletics Funds impacting BOTH 'CAF Annual Membership Level and Priority Points include: 

• Athletics Opportunity Fund (supporting all 20 sports teams and 600+ student-athletes) 
• Seat-related Membership Funds 
• John A. Lally Athletics Complex Fund gifts made as part of a Legends Society commitment ($25K+/5 year pledge) 

Athletics Funds impacting ONLY Priority Points include: 

• All Head Coaches Funds 
• Gifts to sport-specific initiatives
• Endowments 
• John A. Lally Athletics Complex Fund gifts made outside of Legends Society commitments

2024 JMA Wireless Dome Seat Selection Process 
Donor Rank will be of importance in the upcoming 2024 JMA Wireless Dome Seat Selection Process. Donor Rank will be used to determine priority order for season ticket holders to select their new chairback seat(s). This will apply to all football and men's basketball season ticket holders as well as select season ticket holders with reserved seating for women's basketball, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse. 

Donor Rank for the 2024 JMA Dome Seat Selection Process will be calculated based on giving between October 1, 2023 - May 1, 2024. Donor Rank will be calculated following the same procedures as outlined above, with the only difference being this extended date range.

The Donor Rank system is designed to serve as a framework to guide the athletics department in the allocation of member benefits, particularly when supply is limited and/or there is a premium based on location. University officials reserve the right to act outside this framework when deemed to be in the best interest of the University.
